Comparative Analysis of Rumen Bacterial Profiles and Functions during Adaption to Different Phenology (Regreen vs. Grassy) in Alpine Merino Sheep with Two Growing Stages on an Alpine Meadow

چکیده

Phenological periods can affect the growth of forage, single food source for grazing animals, and its nutrition stage animals rumen microbiota. The aim this study was to evaluate effects phenological (regreen vs. grassy) growing stages (hoggets (1.5 years old) rams (3 old)) on bacteria communities functions in Alpine Merion sheep. result showed that Alpha diversity indices ACE (p < 0.001), Chao Shannon 0.001) were higher regreen stage. At phylum level, abundances Bacteroidetes = 0.003) Firmicutes 0.017) shifted with plant phenology. abundance fiber-degrading altered at genus level 0.05). Genes related fatty acid degradation metabolism increased both sheep In grassy stage, vitamin B6 0.046) hoggets. summary, had a significant effect bacterial compartment two stages, while only tended change diversity.

Light-intensity grazing improves alpine meadow productivity and adaption to climate change on the Tibetan Plateau

To explore grazing effects on carbon fluxes in alpine meadow ecosystems, we used a paired eddy-covariance (EC) system to measure carbon fluxes in adjacent fenced (FM) and grazed (GM) meadows on the Tibetan plateau. Gross primary productivity (GPP) and ecosystem respiration (Re) were greater at GM than FM for the first two years of fencing. In the third year, the productivity at FM increased to ...

Impacts of different climate change regimes and extreme climatic events on an alpine meadow community.

Climate variability is expected to increase in future but there exist very few experimental studies that apply different warming regimes on plant communities over several years. We studied an alpine meadow community under three warming regimes over three years. Treatments consisted of (a) a constant level of warming with open-top chambers (ca. 1.9 °C above ambient), (b) yearly stepwise increase...

the effect of e-64 on the developmental competence of sheep cocs during in vitro maturation

in the present study, the effect of e-64 at different concentrations (0.5, 1, 5 and 10 µm) added to (1) the ivm medium on oocyte nuclear maturation and developmental competence of ovine oocytes, and (2) to the ivc medium on embryonic development of ovine embryos were investigated.

Soil Fauna Affects Dissolved Carbon and Nitrogen in Foliar Litter in Alpine Forest and Alpine Meadow

Dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and total dissolved nitrogen (TDN) are generally considered important active biogeochemical pools of total carbon and nitrogen. Many studies have documented the contributions of soil fauna to litter decomposition, but the effects of the soil fauna on labile substances (i.e., DOC and TDN) in litter during early decomposition are not completely clear. Therefore, a f...

Soil bacterial community responses to warming and grazing in a Tibetan alpine meadow.

Warming and grazing significantly affect the structure and function of an alpine meadow ecosystem. Yet, the responses of soil microbes to these disturbances are not well understood. Controlled asymmetrical warming (+1.2/1.7°C during daytime/nighttime) with grazing experiments were conducted to study microbial response to warming, grazing and their interactions. Significant interactive effects o...
